These departments are instrumental in managing the business elements of productions and exhibitions to ensure they happen in the right place at the right time and on budget. Large arts organisations generally have specialist departments whereas smaller arts companies require multi-skilled individuals. All arts companies are business-focused and prize accountancy or other professional qualifications, transferable skills and experience in marketing, press, administration and project management.
