Exhibitions Organisers co-ordinate all aspects of exhibitions, from organising the loans, insurance and transport of works of art for the exhibitions, to writing and commissioning exhibition catalogues and other publications. They also contribute to the fundraising and budgeting of the exhibition. In larger organisations Registrars take on the transport and insurance arrangements.

Gallery Managersare responsible for the practical and technical aspects of installing the exhibitions, leading a team of installation technicians. They also manage the building in terms of security and health and safety, and are responsible for Gallery Assistants.

Gallery Assistantsplay an important part in any gallery’s activities. As well as providing security for the exhibitions and installations, they also ensure the safety of the public whilst they are visiting and provide a welcoming and informative environment for all visitors.

Studio Technicians prepare studio spaces and materials required for all education workshops, art courses and talks and events. For example, they prepare glazes and slips, fire the kilns in the ceramics studio and set up audio-visual equipment for talks and film screenings.
